The idea
Most "AI workspaces" put a chatbot between the operator and the work. Vryx does the opposite: a native macOS workspace where the critical path is compiled tooling — millisecond renders, microsecond validators, on-device OCR — and LLMs are restricted to a handful of budget-bounded utilities.
What's built
Running live in insurance operations: reading Emirates IDs, driving licences and Mulkiyas on-device, validating KYC in microseconds, no cloud model in the critical path. Keyboard-first by conviction.
Where it stands
v0.1, open source, alive. The pattern — AI at the edges, determinism in the path — is the same discipline that runs Ekko.
